Hello and welcome to my website!

I’m Rowan Carter, currently based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. I’ve been doing photography for around five years now.

Almost immediately after I was given an old Canon from my grandmother, turning a recreational activity into something I can do for others to help them make memories became a dream of mine. Getting the confidence and the experience I needed to feel ready to take a passionate hobby and turn it into a fulfilling career venture has been long road. From meeting new people, going on adventures, and finding my style of shooting and editing, I’ve discovered the energy I like to bring out in my work, and want to share it as I continue to grow in my skills.

Capturing people being themselves and doing what they love for them to enjoy and relive that moment is a beautiful thing. Experimentation with angles, lighting, and different subjects (both organic and inanimate) is a wonderous process for me, and I like to do my best bringing ideas to life.

I try to keep my editing to a minimal, as I enjoy the natural beauty and colors of people and environments. Exposure and color correction is usually the most I’ll do before I feel a photo is ready to be presented back to the subject, but if you have a request for a particular style or edit, I can meet your needs.
